Artist Tim Buwalda and LnS Gallery co-directors Sergio Cernuda and Luisa Lignarolo introduce the ideas underlying this exhibition of classic automotive "portraits." Combining elements of photo-realism and painterly experimentation, the seven large oils and modestly scaled watercolors explore critical themes of American culture and individual identity – specifically set within the artist's home terrain of South Florida.
